Official Opening of our Multi-Sensory Room                                                                  We are delighted to announce the Official Opening of our Multi- Sensory Room in the school on Wednesday 2nd May by Finian Mc Grath TD, Minister for Disability Issues. Everyone welcome.

Autism Awareness Information Evening

As part of our Autism Awareness Week next week we hosted an Information evening on Thursday 26th April at 8pm in the school hall. There was a great turn out from far and near and the speakers all gave informative presentations which were very well received. Our own Cailan Acan delivered an address which was highly praised by all present and he also got a standing ovation. Thank you to all parents and community members for their support and a special word of thanks to the parents and friends for the lovely refreshments.

Spelling Bee

Sophie Lynch, rang a cúig, represented our school in the County Spelling Bee final during the week in Farnham NS. Well done Sophie.

Child Safeguarding Statement

Our Child Safeguarding Statement is now on the school website and is displayed in the foyer/reception of our school. This statement now replaces the Child Protection policy.

School Photographs Photographs are being picked up next week so if you wish to order your photographs please send in the envelope with your order.

Komeer – Home School Communication

Please download the Komeer communication app for your mobile phone/device as per recent e mail.

Cash for Clobber

This is a great chance to support the school while clearing out unwanted clothing and shoes (pairs only please). All types of clothing are acceptable. Other textile items will be accepted, except duvets and pillows.The collection date is mid-May.

Scooter and Cycle Training – Green Schools

We are delighted to have some Scooter and Cycle training in our school again with Susan Dorley, An Taisce, on Monday next 30th April and also on Thursday 3rd May. We ask as many children as possible to bring their scooters and helmets into the school on both days.

Tours                                                                                                                                               A few of school tours details have been sent out during the week with an epayment option to pay online.

Uniform Fitting                                                                                                                Schoolwear House (school uniform supplier) will visit our school for uniform fittings on Thursday 24th May from 2pm to 4pm and from 5pm to 7pm. Please note this on your calendar.

Basketball Girls Team Well done to our girls’ team who defeated St. Josephs NS Navan during the week in their final game in the league. Well done girls.

Horseriding

Horse Riding lessons begin next Thursday for our Cairde Classes and will continue as normal on the Wednesday’s each week until the 6th June

Heritage in Schools

We have a wild life workshop display in our school on the Thursday 17th May 2018
