Bring and Buy / Sale of Work
We are having our Bring and Buy / Sale of Work on Friday 22nd June from 12 noon to 4pm. Please send in any items that you think might sell!. The Parents Association will also have some stalls on the day.
Book Rental 2018-2019 We are finalising our booklists at present. Thank you to everyone who has paid the Book Rental money.
We held our Open Information afternoon for parents of incoming pupils last Thursday. This was an informal gathering and parents received all the relevant information and they were introduced to the activities of the Parents Association by John Stephens, Chairman and Caroline Farrell , Treasurer. Our new infants had a lovely afternoon meeting their new teachers and getting used to their new classroom and surroundings for the start of the new school year.
Cash for Clobber
We had a fantastic response to our Cash for Clobber initiative and thank you for all the bags which were collected this week. . It is a great success again this year and raised €460.
National Bike Week Art Competition
Well done to all who entered in this competition and we hope that someone from Knocktemple NS will win the bike!
Our Camógie team will play in a blitz in Breffni Park on Tuesday next. Good luck girls!
Cairde School Tour
Our Cairde school tour will take place on Thursday next 14th June. This year we are going to the Odeon Cinema Cavan for an Autism friendly screening of Sherlock Gnomes followed by food in McDonalds. We hope everyone has a lovely day.
Fantastic Mr. Fox
Our Junior classes really enjoyed the show in the Ramor Theatre this week and thank you again to the Parents Association for funding the bus.
Peace IV Celebration Day: Our 5th class will have their Celebration Day in Cavan County Museum on Monday 11th June at 11am where they will unveil their Shared Learning Project that they completed with Billis NS. All parents of 5th class pupils are invited to attend on the day! The celebration will take place from 11am until 12.30pm and refreshments will be served.
School will close for the summer holidays on Tuesday 26th June 2018 at 12.30pm.

Munterconnaught GFC Colouring Competition is for pupils from 2nd to 6th class. Details as follows:
(1) Closing date for Competition is Friday 22nd June.
(2) The picture must be on an A4 sheet of paper.
(3) The picture must be GAA related ie (Football, Handball, Camógie, Rounders or Scor) Winners will be announced on Tuesday 26th June.
Thank you to Eoin O’ Shea a member of the Muntercnnaught Senior team who visited our school to encourage pupils to take part in the competition.
