Feast of the Immaculate Conception
All classes attended mass on Thursday last to prepare for Christmas and to celebrate the feast of the Immaculate Conception.
Fundraising Event (Pub Quiz)
There will be Table Quiz in the Ramor Inn on Friday next 16th December 2016 at 9pm. All proceeds to the Cáirde classes. Many parents and community members have already expressed an interest and offered prizes for the raffle. Your support would be much appreciated.
Carol Service
There will be a Christmas Carol Service in the church on Sunday evening 18th December at 5pm. It would be lovely to see as many children as possible attending this enjoyable occasion. There will be refreshments in the school hall afterwards courtesy of the Foróige club. All proceeds from the Carol Service will be donated to the Cáirde fundraising efforts.
Camógie
Camógie Training for girls from 1st to 6th class continues every Wednesday in the school hall. Wednesday 14th December will be our last session before Christmas and girls are asked to wear their Christmas jumpers.
Bicycle Workshop (Valuable lessons learned)
A sincere thank you to Susan Doorley for her bicycle training for all classes today as part of our Green School initiative on the theme of travel.
Phones/Phones/Phones: That time of the year again when there will be lots of old phones in homes around the community. Please help us build on this to be able to get a free iPad for our School.
Swimming Gala 2016
The 21thAnnual National School Swimming Gala was a great success with 18 children representing our school. Individual Winners were Jane Hetherton U8 front Crawl, Killian Hofmann U10 Breast Stroke, Sean Glennon U12 Breast stroke, Shane Hetherton U 14 Front Crawl, Caithlin Hetherton U14 Breast Stroke. Harry Watters U14 Breast Stroke. Relay team winners U10 Girls ( Jane Hetherton, Orlagh Cremin, Emma Henry, Aoife Henry) and U12 boys (Killian Hofmann, Lee Glennon, Cory Reilly, Ronan McLaughlin. Runner up placements Fergal McElroy, Sean Glennon, Paul Gilsenan, Nathan De Kleer. Other children who represented our school were Eoin Hetherton, Eimear Cremin, Niamh Mc Elroy and Madeleine Hughes Thanks to Deirdre, Linda, Darren, Allison, Lorraine, Martin, Colleen and Shirley for providing the transport and supervision of children on the day. A special thank you to Sharon for coordinating this event.

Christmas Holidays
School Closes on Thursday 22nd December at 12.30pm and will reopen on Monday 9th January 2017.
